Being the first hand-held full HD digital camcorder in Canon and having adopted MPEG-2 Full HD 4:2:2 codec at maximum 50Mbps recording bit rate, XF300 deliver unsurpassed imaging qualities to meet the needs of various industry applications such as newsgathering and documentary film-making. The use of industry-standard MXF (Material eXchange Format) file format in this new camcorder, ensures easy exchange of video and audio materials in NLE systems. This promises an efficient workflow from initial video capturing to final editing and ensures seamless and flexible post-editing work. XF300 uses the highly popular and affordable CF cards as recording media. This allows larger and more flexible recording capacity and easier transfer of video files from memory cards to computer for post-editing.
