Abstract

Abstract
On July 19, 18 Canon staff participated in Gei Wai Shrimp Cultivation organized by WWF. With detailed introduction by WWF professional interpreter throughout the trip, Canon staff experienced traditional way to farm shrimps. Furthermore, they also learnt more about the wetland environment and livelihood of fishermen when visiting birdwatching hide, mangrove, Gei Wai Museum, etc.

On 29 May, CHK was invited to attend the Official Launch Ceremony in LCX Mall in Tsim Sha Tsui. During the ceremony, ORBIS encouraged everyone to support the campaign and announced famous singer, Mr. Hins Cheung, as ORBIS Sight Ambassador.

Canon Hongkong has joined the ORBIS Pin Day as the Silver Sponsor for the third consecutive year. This year, the company target to raise up to HK$40,000. Staff are encouraging to wear the ORBIS Pin on Oct 11 (The World Sight Day) in order to support their care about the needlessly blind in developing world and increase the awareness of eye care issues.
