Canon Hongkong (CHK) supported the Community Chest Green Day organized by The Community Chest. With the event theme of "Ride Green & Go Green at Work" this year, we are encouraged to take a greener form of transport in order to reduce the carbon emission and, at the same time, all donations received will be allocated to support for the medical and health services provided by the Community Chest’s member agencies.

Abstract
On 7 May, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador - Lang Lang (internationally renowned pianist), exclusively hold a charity concert together with the Hong Kong Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in order to raise funds supporting the victims of the natural disasters recently in China, especially those from the Qinghai Earthquake. There were total 1,800 audiences enjoyed the concert and raised over HK$4 million through the sales of admission tickets to be donated to UNICEF and Lang Lang International Music Foundation.

Canon Hongkong supported Tree Planting Challenge 2010 for the forth consecutive year

Canon Hongkong (CHK) supported the forth consecutive year to the Tree Planting Challenge organized by the Friends of the Earth (HK) contributing to promote the awareness of nature conservation. This year, the slogan of Tree Planting Challenge is "Plant a Wish for a Better Climate", with the aim to widely spread the message thought the participants with their energetic involvement in Tree-Planting and 13 km hiking at the Shing Mun Reservoir. All funds raised from this annual environmental event will be used for site preparation, seedlings purchase, planting and 3-years maintenance of the woodland.

Canon Hongkong (CHK) supported the 30-Hour Famine organized by World Vision Hong Kong (WVHK) and Commercial Radio 2 in 17 – 18 April. Over 3,100 campers gathered at the Aberdeen Sports Ground to fast in bare feet for 30 hours to experience the unfavorable lives of staving children around the world and to fight against famine.
