Caring Company Partnership Expo 2015 cum Recognition Ceremony was held at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center on 25 March. Canon Hongkong Company Limited (CHK) is awarded Caring Company 10 Years Plus Logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) for CHK’s efforts on performing corporate social responsibility.
Caring Company Scheme is committed to build a cohesive society by promoting strategic partnership among businesses and social service partners. Since it’s first launched in 2002, CHK has been joining the project actively, later on became one of the Jade Member which further encourage more corporate to fulfill their corporate social responsibility.
In strict adherence to our corporate philosophy "kyosei", CHK extended our CSR projects with the direction of “Empowering through Imaging”, which aimed to apply professional imaging technology to devote to the society. With outstanding performance in the scopes of the assessment criteria of the Caring Company Scheme, namely Caring for the Community, Caring for the Employees and Caring for the Environment, CHK is honored Caring Company 10 years Plus Logo once again this year to recognize its promising contribution for the local community.
During the expo, CHK supported an instant photo shoot and print services to capture and treasure the happy moment of the attending corporate and social services representatives. HK$10 was charged for each photo print and a total of $3,750 has been donated to “Children’s Heart Foundation” without any cost deduction to support the services for congenital heart disease children.
Stepping into the 13th year, more than 2,960 companies and organizations are awarded Caring Company Logos and Caring Organisation Logos that supported over 460 social service organizations, mobilized more than 180 thousand hours of volunteer service, amassed over HK$440 million in donations and provided 8,000 employment opportunities to disabled and disadvantaged persons
