In pursue of Canon Group’s Global Corporate Philosophy “Kyosei”, Canon Hongkong (CHK) has been devoted not only in providing  quality imaging products and services, but also in contributing to an even better Hong Kong society, by means of carrying out a full spectrum of corporate social responsibilities with our expertise and power leveraged. Recently, with nominations from 8 social welfare organizations, CHK proudly attained Caring Company 10 Years Plus Logo by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service (HKCSS) for the third consecutive year, in recognition of CHK’s promising efforts on performing corporate social responsibility in the areas of “Caring for the Community”, “Caring for the Employees” and “Caring for the Environment”. The 8 nominating organizations include (in no particular order):

• Vital Employee Service Consultancy, Christian Family Service Centre
• Wai Yin Association
• World Green Organization
• World Wildlife Fund – Hong Kong

CHK also supported the Caring Company Partnership Expo 2016 cum Award Presentation Ceremony, held at Hong Kong Exhibition & Convention Centre on 10th May, with its imaging expertise. During the event, CHK provided an instant photo shoot and print services to capture happy moments of the attending corporate and social services representatives. HK$10 was charged for each photo print and a total amount of $2,700, without any cost deduction, has been donated to “Children's Thalassaemia Foundation” in support of patients’ purchase of iron-removal equipments, employment development trainings as well as related medical researches.

Caring Company Scheme has been launched by HKCSS since 2002, with the mission of building a cohesive society through strategic partnerships among businesses and social service partners. CHK has been proactively participating in the project since its launch, and later on became one of the Jade Members to fully support the promotion of corporate social responsibility. This year, the scheme recognized more than 3,200 companies and organizations, which had supported over 400 social service organizations with over 180 thousand hours of volunteer service, over HK$400 million in donations and 8,000 employment opportunities for disabled and disadvantaged persons.
