Canon’s New Flagship EOS-1D X scheduled to launch in the End of April 2012
Canon proudly announces the long-awaited professional Digital SLR Camera EOS-1D X will be launched in the end of April 2012. This new model unifying unprecedented image quality and ultra high speed will take professional photography to a new dimension. EOS-1D X is incorporated with the new 18.1-megapixel full-frame Canon CMOS sensor and dual "DIGIC 5+" ultra fast image processor that supports 14-bit image processing for superb image quality. It offers world’s fastest* continuous shooting at 12fps, with maximum burst of 180 JPEGs or 38 RAWs, to capture every intricate moment. ISO settings range from 100-51200 and are expandable to ISO 102400 and 204800, allowing greater shooting flexibility to professionals. A revolutionary Auto Focus and Auto Exposure system are also equipped to capture the finest image in excellent precision. EOS-1D X features the new 100,000-pixel RGB metering sensor with dedicated DIGIC 4 image processor for subject recognition through color detection and face detection with the innovative EOS iSA (Intelligent Subject Analysis) system. Additionally, the camera is equipped with an improved metering algorithm for more stabilized auto exposure and E-TTL II autoflash under various scenes. Featuring a newly developed high-precision 61-point high density reticular AF system with 41-point cross-type sensor, together with 6 AF area selection modes, AI Servo AF III algorithm and the revolutionary EOS iTR (Intelligent Tracking and Recognition) AF that tracks subjects using data from EOS iSA system, precise focusing result are guaranteed. In response to the needs of professionals, the new flagship camera offers enhanced image processing power, operability, reliability and durability. An improved professional EOS Movie is supported to meet the needs of both image and video capture.
