Canon’s New Flagship EOS-1D X
and New Standard Zoom Lens EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM
scheduled to launch in the End of Jun & End of Jul 2012 respectively


Canon proudly announces the professional Digital SLR Camera EOS-1D X will be launched in the end of June 2012. This new model unifying unprecedented image quality and ultra high speed will take professional photography to a new dimension.

EOS-1D X - Feature Highlights

 
  • 18.1-megapixel Full Frame Canon CMOS Sensor
  • ISO 100-51200 (Expandable to ISO 102400 and 204800)
  • 12FPS High Speed Continuous Shooting with maximum burst of 180 JPEGs or 38 RAWs; Maximum 14FPS in Super High Speed Mode
  • Newly developed High Precision 61-point High Density Reticular AF System
  • EOS iTR (Intelligent Tracking and Recognition) AF tracks subjects with face and color information from EOS iSA system
  • Innovative EOS iSA (Intelligent Subject Analysis) System: 100,000-pixel RGB metering sensor with dedicated DIGIC 4 image processor for subject recognition through color detection and face detection
 

And the Next Generation Professional Large Aperture Standard Zoom Lens EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM will be launched in the end of July 2012. The Feature Highlights are as below,

  • 1 Super UD and 2 UD lens elements to minimize magnification-type chromatic aberration and color blurring across the entire zoom range, results in high resolution and high contrast image
  • 9-blade circular aperture produces beautiful out-of-focus image
  • 0.38m minimum focusing distance across the entire zoom range
  • Lens structure with enhanced durability and toughness to cope with the demand of professional users
  • New Zoom Ring Lock Lever to lock the zoom position at the wide end during travel
  • Weights approximately 805g, a 15% reduction compared to previous generation
  • Inner focusing design, ring USM and optimized AF algorithm achieve fast, quiet and
    accurate autofocus
  • Optimized lens coatings for digital cameras to ensure excellent color balance and minimize ghosting and flare
  • Fluorine coating on foremost and rearmost lens surfaces makes cleaning easier
  • Dust and water resistance design^ to enable shooting in harsh conditions

Up to 2010, Canon has reduced the use of new resources by 168,000 tons and CO² emissions by 402,000 tons. Likewise, CHK from 2009 has established Ink Cartridge Collection boxes placed in voluntary schools, shopping malls, commercial centers and commercial buildings to collect used cartridges for recycling purpose.
