PowerShot D20 is equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS) function which will automatically record the shooting dates and locations of photos and movies once switched on. In response to both shift-based and angle-based camera shake in handheld shooting, PowerShot D20 is also incorporated with the Hybrid IS which includes an accelerometer to work with gyroscopic sensors so both kinds of movement can be corrected with high precision. This ensures stability in macro and close-up photography which mostly suffer from shift-based movement. Offering up to 32 different scenes, Scene Detection technology in PowerShot D20 can automatically detect shooting distance, lighting condition, color temperature and moving subjects etc and adjust to the best possible camera settings to capture the scene easily. By detecting a subject’s focus and exposure, white balance, ISO speed and dynamic range, perfect images in different situations across a range of lighting conditions can be easily captured. Coupled with the Smart Flash Exposure function, the camera can automatically calculate and modify settings like flash output, flash synchronic speed and ISO speed to ensure bright and clear images. It serves as a perfect solution for common problems like uneven exposure that are found in normal flash mode.
