Combined with simple workspace design to enhance productivity

(Hong Kong – April 21st 2017) Canon Hongkong Company Limited (CHK), the world leader in business imaging solutions, has been striving to provide innovative printing and business imaging solutions to assist business development in enterprises. At the ‘Beyond Simplicity & Mobility’ press conference today, CHK announces the launch of the latest multifunctional device imageRUNNER ADVANCE C3500i series (3 Series) with a user-friendly mobile business platform MobileWork. Using this one-stop mobile business solution combined with a simple workspace design, enterprises are able to simplify the work space and process, therefore improving productivity.

‘As mobile working is getting more popular, design of the working equipments and environment should correspond to fulfill the needs for flexible work. The one-stop mobile business solution of Canon’s brand new multifunctional device 3 Series helps enterprises digitalize documents efficiently and implement mobile business operation and mobile printing management, which enable real-time information sharing and syncing. The solution also reduces the need for paper documents and electronic hardware, allowing more space to introduce efficient design elements, creating an effective workplace and boosting productivity.’ said Mr. Philip Chan, Director of Business Imaging Solution & Production Printing Group, CHK.

Mr. Ricky Li, Manager of IKEA BUSINESS, was invited to discuss with Mr. Philip Chan on how to use a simple and efficient design concept to promote and achieve an effective workspace. Mr. Philip Chan further explained the innovative aspects of 3 Series’ brand new one-stop mobile business solution and 3 Series that promote mobile working, creating a highly collaborative and flexible office.

Canon’s brand new imageRUNNER ADVANCE C3500i series (3 Series) provides comprehensive mobile operation support for enterprises. In addition to wireless network printing and wireless direct printing (Wi-Fi Direct), users are able to print via Canon PRINT Business application or cloud platform. In the era of smartphone and tablet, enterprises use these device as everyday tools for business management, Canon therefore developed the application Canon PRINT Business to fulfill today’s business needs. Users can easily scan, capture, adjust or print files, photos and images, as well as connect to iCloud and Google Drive for cloud scanning and printing. This makes more space through reducing physical file storage and creates opportunities for employees to communicate.

Today's technology enables businesses to handle plenty of tasks online, simplifying and speeding up the workflow. With MobileWork, users can easily manage Canon’s multifunctional device, such as checking the usage and invoices of the device, ordering consumables, and booking maintenance service. The mobile business platform also allows execution of various simplified business operations, such as human resources management, workflow management, document management and information exchange through the platform. Users can receive company information, message to other users, and perform file sharing, modification or process approval, including application and approval of annual leave electronic form. Moving physical paperwork to the virtual world enhances business mobility and collaboration efficiency, which results in a more effective allocation of resources.

In Hong Kong, where rents are high, Canon understands the importance of working space. To help reduce the accumulation of documents in the office, 3 Series combined with Antelope Cloud to help enterprises to store electronic files in a highly secure cloud platform, reducing the storage procedure and space for traditional paper documents. In addition to cloud storage, sharing and editing, users can set different user access permissions for specific files, ensuring the safety of file circulation and modification. By reducing the future processing of traditional paper file regarding physical storage, more space is freed up to create a simple office where employees have more interactive workspace, which increases productivity.

To meet the printing needs of SMEs, 3 Series’ mobile output solution uniFLOW offers a convenient mobile printing experience to users, where they can choose to receive the printed documents from the multifunctional devices in different locations, being user authentication at the device before executing the print jobs, or delete unwanted print jobs in the queue, all of which allows control of printing volume. uniFLOW helps replacing paper documents with electronic files while maintaining a high degree of file confidentiality, and in turn reduces the required storage space at workplace.

Electronic business form is an indispensible part of an efficient mobile business operation. 3 Series integrated with Antelope Capture Client instantly digitalizes paper documents and automatically creates index entry using OCR technology, minimizing manual input time and improving data accuracy. Canon also provides professional business management and consultancy service – Canon Business Services (CBS). We develop a tailored integrated file processing service that is the most suitable for the client’s workflow, such as file printing and mailing, in order to customize flexible programs for different enterprises, optimizing corporate management.
