  • Customers who purchase LEGRIA HF M52 camera can enjoy an extension of basic warranty period to two years#, for any defect in the LEGRIA HF M52 camera that arises and that is covered by the Warranty in the 2-Year Supreme Protection Plan.
"Accidental Damage Repair Plan"
  • If the damage to the LEGRIA HF M52 camera is covered by the Accidental Damage Repair or Replacement Plan*, and the LEGRIA HF M52 camera can be repaired by Canon in a cost-effective manner, then Canon will provide repair services for a repair fee of not more than HK$400.
"Accidental Damage Replacement Plan"
  • i. If the damage to, or robbery or burglary of*3, the LEGRIA HF M52 camera is covered by the Accidental Damage Repair or Replacement Plan, and occurs in the first year of the Warranty Period, Canon will offer to sell the customer a new or replacement camera*4 at a discounted price of only HK$800.
  • ii. If the damage to, or theft or robbery of, the LEGRIA HF M52 camera is covered by the Accidental Damage Repair or Replacement Plan, and occurs in the second year of the Warranty Period, Canon will offer to sell the customer a similar camera model*4 at a price that is 50% of the replacement camera's original list price (as determined by Canon).
*2 Customers are entitled to avail of either maintenance or discount purchase, and can enjoy these services only once.
*3 Customers must submit the police report for proof
*4 In case of any disputes, CHK reserves its rights of final decision.
# If customers successful complete the product warranty registration within 30 days from date of purchase, an additional 3-month warranty will be offered. For further details, please refer to "Warranty Registration Procedure"
  • Customers must register the camera within 30 days from date of purchase to enjoy an additional 3-month warranty service after the expiration of the “2 Years of Protection Plan”
  • Once Canon has received the duly completed online warranty registration, Canon will send the customer a confirmation letter (the "Confirmation"), after which the Warranty and the Accidental Damage Repair or Replacement Plan will be valid for the LEGRIA HF M52 camera specified therein.
    Note: If customers do not receive the confirmation letter in two weeks after online warranty registration, please call at 3191-2333 for enquiry.

If the LEGRIA HF M52 camera requires repair or replacement under the Accidental Damage Repair or Replacement Plan, the customer must notify Canon by submitting a 'Repair or Replacement Request Form' (available from Canon upon request). The Repair or Replacement Request Form and supporting documents must be submitted to Canon within fifteen (15) days of the date upon which the customer discovers that the damage, destruction or theft (due to Burglary / Robbery) has occurred. The Repair or Replacement Request Form must be signed and submitted by the person whose name is on the online warranty registration for the LEGRIA HF M52 camera (or, if the person named in the Online Warranty Registration is a company, by a nominated representative as specified in an authorization letter from that company). If requested by Canon, that person (or its nominated representative in the case of a company) must present his or her Hong Kong identity card (or other identification document) to Canon for verification.

The Repair or Replacement Request Form must be accompanied by:

i.The original Purchase Record Card for the LEGRIA HF M52 camera;
ii. the original confirmation letter sent to you by Canon;
iii. The original receipt for the LEGRIA HF M52 camera;
iv. (iv) The LEGRIA HF M52 camera (if available); and
v. A signed Police report, if the LEGRIA HF M52 camera has been damaged, destroyed or loss as a result of a burglary or robbery.
-This Warranty and the Accidental Damage Repair or Replacement Plan only applies to LEGRIA HF M52 cameras purchased in Hong Kong SAR.
- The Warranty and the Accidental Damage Repair or Replacement Plan does not cover any lens purchased together with the LEGRIA HF M52 camera (whether as part of a kit or otherwise).
- This page is intended for information purposes only, and does not constitute a warranty or any other form of representation or protection by Canon to customers. The terms and conditions of the Warranty and the Accidental Damage Repair or Replacement Plan are fully and solely set out in the 2-Year Supreme Protection Plan document enclosed with the packaging of the LEGRIA HF M52 camera.
-In case of any dispute regarding the Warranty and the Accidental Damage Repair or Replacement Plan, the decision of Canon shall be final.
- This protection plan is only applicable to Hong Kong and Macau SAR region.
