The new EOS 7D Mark II has big enhancements in every way to match with EOS-1D X in terms of autofocus system, continuous shooting speed and operability. Together with various new functions which are new in EOS digital cameras and the powerful video function, EOS 7D Mark II will be Canon’s flagship APS-C DSLR camera that is capable of taking high speed photos and videos at a professional level.
Powerful 65-point Autofocus System
EOS 7D Mark II features a newly developed 65-point all cross-type AF sensor1 with a f/2.8 compatible high precision dual-cross center AF point which also supports AF at f/8 and extremely low-light conditions at EV -3 sensitivity2.It also incorporates AI Servo AF III algorithm and AF Configuration Tools for high precision and stability in AI Servo AF tracking.

10FPS High Speed Continuous shooting and 8 –channel high speed readout
The camera has a 20.2 megapixel APS-C Canon CMOS sensor designed by gapless microlens technology and 8-channel high speed readout, it can shoot continuously at a super high speed as fast as 10FPS. It also supports Silent Shooting and 4FPS Silent Continuous Shooting. The shutter release time lag is as short as 55ms which is on par with EOS-1D X and adopts shutter button with adjustable stoke3 as found in EOS-1D series.
New “Anti-flicker shooting” function
The new AE system will detect the cycle of flickering light sources such as fluorescent light and mercury light, the shutter release timing will then be adjusted to ensure more consistent exposure and color during shooting.

New “AF Area Selection Lever" to facilitate AF operation
EOS 7D Mark II features a new "AF Area Selection Lever" which is first-invented in EOS for easy switching between AF area selection modes. There are 7 AF Area selection modes, including the new "Large Zone AF".
Exceptional Image Quality and Standard ISO up to 16000
The camera is equipped with the new Dual "DIGIC 6" digital image processor which has superb processing power and enables a standard ISO range from 100 to 16000 (expandable to H1: 25600 and H2: 51200), it is crucial for sports photography and shooting in low-light condition.
Advanced functions from EOS-1D X
EOS 7D Mark II features a new 150,000-pixel RGB+IR metering sensor that has 252-zone metering and detects Red (R), Green (G), Blue (B) and near-infrared light (NIR) information which enables more accurate analysis from "EOS Scene Detection System". The camera is also equipped with EOS iSA (Intelligent Subject Analysis) system that detects the subjects by face data and color information to enhance auto exposure, autofocus and auto white balance under different light sources. It also has EOS iTR (Intelligent Tracking Recognition) AF function that uses Face Detection and color information from EOS iSA system to track recognized subject in optical viewfinder and keeps the subject in focus throughout the scene.
New "Intelligent Viewfinder II"
The new "Intelligent Viewfinder II" can let user to choose on-demand information to be displayed in Viewfinder such as AF Points, Electronic level, Gridline display and various camera settings display including shooting mode, white balance, drive mode, AF operation, metering mode, recording format and flicker detection. There is no need to move away your eye from the viewfinder to change setting. Also, the optical viewfinder with 100% coverage and 1.0x magnification is made by high quality glass pentaprism to ensure high brightness and reduce vignetting and ghosting.
New Custom Movie Servo AF for professional EOS Movie
The camera also integrates Canon's Unique and industry-leading "Dual Pixel CMOS AF" to enable fast and accurate AF in Live View shooting even in low light condition; when shooting movie, exceptional tracking performance is brought by the smooth and quiet Movie Servo AF. “Movie Servo AF” has been enhanced to let users to customize the AF characteristics ("Movie Servo AF Speed" and "Movie Servo AF Track Sensitivity") of their videos during video shooting4.The effect of "Movie Servo AF Speed" can be as professional as movie focus puller.
