Due to the epidemic in 2020, the scale of volunteer services was inevitably affected to a certain extent. However, Canon Hong Kong Corporate Volunteer Team has always been enthusiastic and passionate about contributing to the local community. 32 corporate volunteers have served in 6 service programmes, contributed a total of 320 service hours. These voluntary contribution is rewarded the Bronze Award for Volunteer Service (Organization) 2020 issued by the Volunteer Movement of Social Welfare Department.

Canon Hongkong Co., Ltd. (Macau Branch) has relocated to the Finance and IT Center of Macau on 27 October this year.
Nominated by the EcoPark's tenant(s), and with the outstanding performance in "Waste Reduction", "Waste Recycling" and "Caring for the Environment" criteria, Canon HK has bestowed the 'Friends of EcoPark' Award organized by the Environmental Protection Department, in recognizing the enduring efforts in caring for the environment and waste management.

Canon Celebrates Production of 100 Million EOS-series Interchangeable-lens Cameras.
Canon HK has been recognized as the Happy Company for the fifth year for the effort of promote and provide a happy working environment.

Canon HK has successfully acquired the Forest Stewardship CouncilTM (FSCTM) ’s Chain-of-Custody (CoC) Certificate (FSC license code: FSC-C148225), providing customers an added confidence on the source of paper product.

EOS R System (Interchangeable lens cameras EOS R and EOS RP, and RF lenses) was recognized for design excellence by the Hong Kong Design Centre, winning the Silver Award at the DFA Design for Asia Awards 2019.

Canon HK attained the "Customer Service Excellence Grand Award - Bronze Award"of 2018 from the Hong Kong Association for Customer Service Excellence (HKACE), presented smart and intimate service experience.

Canon HK launched a wholly owned subsidiary “Canon Business Solutions (Guangdong) Co., Ltd.” located in Futian, Shenzhen.
Canon HK head office was relocated to China Life Center, a grade A office building located in Hung Hom waterfront to create a highly collaborative working environment.
The newly opened Canon Business Experience Center features four experience zones based on the principles of LEADERSHIP, INTELLIGENCE, INNOVATION and SUSTAINABILITY, providing enterprises with business solutions and products in AI, RPA and big data integration, hence elevating enterprises’ capabilities in industry leadership, business intelligence and creating opportunities.

First launched in 1990, the program now carries out collection operations in 26 countries worldwide and, as of the end of December 2013, has collected approximately 320,000 metric tons of used toner cartridges.
Canon Digital Production Center receives ISO 27001:2013 certification for information security management system by protecting customer data in complete security with reliable high quality services.
In September, Canon HK was successfully verified by SGS, a third-party certification organization, for its greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and reporting practices of Year 2013 and 2014 against ISO 14064-1:2006, which is an international standard regarding the quantification and reporting of GHG emissions and removals at the organizational level.
Canon HK awarded both the United Nations Millennium Development Goal's (UNMDG) “Better World Company Label” and the World Green Organisation's (WGO) “Green Office Label” under the “Green Office Awards Labelling Scheme” (GOALS).

Mr. Hisahiro Minokawa is appointed as the President & CEO of Canon HK.
To celebrate Canon HK's 40th Anniversary, we kicked off Canon ImagineNation, an extravaganza running from 30 November until 2 December at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Canon ImagineNation plays with the theme 'World of Imagination'. In the three-day exhibition, approximately 30,000 visitors were attracted to 12 interactive zones, which showcased the entire lineup of Canon's latest concepts, to let visitors experience the present and future imaging world established by Canon.
Apart from Canon ImagineNation, Canon HK arranged the 40th Anniversary Gala Dinner for 360 guests at Grand Hyatt Hotel on 30 November. On the evening, Canon HK expressed our sincere appreciation towards their support in the course of our 40th history.

Canon celebrates of the 25th anniversary of Canon's EOS System, which includes the EOS series of single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras and a diverse range of accessories for the system beginning with the company's rich lineup of interchangeable EF Lenses.
Canon Customer Care Center and Canon Image2 have been re-located to the whole floor of iSQUARE in Tsim Sha Tsui, to showcase the full range of Canon's imaging products and offer the one-stop service to Canon customers and photo lovers. Situated on the same floor, Canon Customer Care Center and Canon Image2 occupy a total area of 8,700 sq. ft., featuring a minimal and stylish interior design with the panoramic city view.
14th December, Canon HK had its 40th Anniversary in Hong Kong.
Canon HK organized the 3rd edition of Canon Photo Marathon with over 1,000 photography talents participated and all registration fee is donated to WWF - Hong Kong.
September, combined production of film and digital EOS-series single-lens reflex (SLR) cameras surpassed the 50-million mark ; at the end of October, the EF series of interchangeable lenses reached the 70-million-unit milestone.
Canon Business Solution Center is renovated with a new built “Eco Corner” to demonstrate how Canon products implement with its green technologies to code with an energy saving and operation effective office, based on the Canon company philosophy.

2001 - 2010

‘Canon Toner Cartridge Recycling Program’ has been launched for 20 years since 1990. Over 23 countries and districts, including Hong Kong, have collected approximately 220,000 metric tons of used toner cartridges for recycling.
‘Canon Image2’ was refurbished with the brand-new ‘Enjoy Photo Area’ which customers can experience the Canon’s Enjoy Photo Concept – the whole imaging process from shooting to printing.
June, an entirely new ‘Let’s Make The Earth Smile’ icon was launched to drive more people concerning more about environment and lead a low carbon life as our Earth is seriously ill.
Canon celebrated 50 years of Single-Lens Reflex Camera sales. More than 50 million units had produced since 1959.
Canon celebrated the production of 50 million EF Lenses which current line up of 65 models to satisfy the needs of all users.
To further enhance ‘Canon Ink Cartridge Recycle Program’, recycling boxes were placed in schools, café, shopping malls and office buildings in the Territories to collect the used ink cartridges for recycling from customers.
July, Mr. Kazutada Kobayashi was appointed as President & CEO of Canon HK.
February , Canon HK set up a Representative Office in Macau for sales of office equipment and solution software.
Since 2004, Canon HK was awarded the ‘Caring Company 2004/08’ Logo for the fourth consecutive year by HKCSS.
November, ‘Smile Campaign’ was launched to cheer up Hong Kong people to face the economic downturn.
Mr. Kenji Kobayashi was appointed as President & CEO of Canon HK.
July 1, Canon revolving Neon Sign was invited to join the ‘Symphony of Light’ and Pyrotechnic Show by Hong Kong Tourism Commission to celebrate the 10th anniversary of HKSAR.
August , incorporated in the Toner Cartridge Recycling Program, Canon HK provided free pick up service for used toner cartridges with an aim to lessen the environment impact of used toner cartridges.
November 23 -25, Canon HK launched ‘Canon Expo 2007 – Digital Photography & High Definition Images Expo’ with the theme ‘Life on Canon Life’ at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It showcased Canon’s latest digital products and technologies with an innovative set up like a 10M x 10M Ice Rink and 3D Theatre.
December, Canon Pro Solution Hub was established on 17/F of Oterprise Square (named as 26 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui now) to provide the best one-stop Canon digital imaging solution, including Canon flagship DSLR models, high definition video camcorders and inkjet printers to professional customers.
December 2006, Canon LED Wall was installed at Oterprise Square to co-exist with Canon revolving Neon Sign. 420 LED dots were installed in 14 rows to form a LED panel delivering different Canon messages to Hong Kong community.
Canon HK Imaging & Information Showroom – ‘Canon Image2’ and Customer Care Center were relocated to Oterprise Square in Tsim Sha Tsui (named as 26 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui now).
Canon HK Business Information Solution Division organized ‘Canon Answers’ Solution Show in June 2006 to demonstrate how Canon solutions enhance office efficiency.
ISO 9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 are combined into Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (QEHS) Management System and was certified by SGS.  
Canon HK was certificated with COPC-2000® CSP standard as a recognition for meeting the world class standard of service efficiency and quality.
Canon Revolving Neon Sign, which was the first one in Asia was established at the Oterprise Square, Tsim Sha Tsui (named as 26 Nathan Road, Tsim Sha Tsui now). A grand light up ceremony was also launched for celebration.
Canon HK System Solution Division organized its first ‘Ask Canon’ solution show to share the Company’s latest advancements in office system technology and product series.
Canon HK obtained Occupational Health & Safety Assessment Specification OHSAS 18001:2007, a certificate for health and safety management system.
Canon HK obtains ISO 14001:2004 Standard Certificate for environmental conservation from Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency.
Mr. Kensaku Konishi was appointed as President & CEO of Canon HK.
