Buyers Laboratory LLC, the world's leading independent tester of document imaging products, recently awarded "Outstanding Achievement" accolades to the most energy-efficient models tested in the past eight months; Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5255 earned BLI "Outstanding Achievement" awards for their substantially lower than average energy consumption during BLI's environmental testing.

Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE series applied energy saving design, especially On-demand Fixing and pQ Toner, lowers energy consumption by minimizing heat and power requirements. And also, it only consumes as little as 1W in sleep mode. Excellent energy performance to help users significantly reduce energy consumption, while reducing their use of the product after the damage caused by the overall environmental impact.

The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5255 earned BLI "Outstanding Achievement" awards for their substantially lower than average energy consumption during BLI's environmental testing. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5255 offers speeds of 55 ppm in black mode and 51 ppm in color mode for the A3 copier-based MFP market, achieved faster than average recovery times from sleep mode and offers job review and proof modes to reduce paper and consumables waste, which contributed to its five-star overall rating.

This season, Canon's devices lead the A3 category, resulting in a total of five Summer "Pick" awards, featuring devices with multiple speed bands in both color and monochrome sectors. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5235 A3 color MFP, imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5240 A3 color MFP, imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5250 A3 color MFP, imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6265 A3 monochrome MFP and imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6275 A3 monochrome MFP were selected for outstanding overall performance and superior reliability.

"The device passed the reliability test with flying colors – not a single misfeed or service call," said George Mikolay, BLI senior product editor for A3 MFPs. "And, it's very easy for a walk-up user to program a job, not to mention first-copy times are the fastest in this class, both of which are crucial to keeping users as productive as possible." Featuring as control panel design that is nearly the same as the previous generation's – and the same of its current peers – this device will be a comfortable fit in fleet environments as users can easily transition from the Canon device to another one.
Those units also come with virtually every environmentally friendly feature BLI evaluates. In additional to the proof and job review modes previously mentioned, the unit has N-up mode, automatic duplexing.
