Canon models exhibited significantly lower than average energy consumption for their respective product categories and offer a variety of environmentally friendly features to help users reduce their overall environmental impact.
After analysing the results for the top performers in a range of printer and MFP categories, Canon imageCLASS LBP6780x Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 500i were given Winter 2014 “Outstanding Achievement” awards. Two A4-size Canon devices earned energy efficiency accolades this test season. When compared against the average of their respective competitive groups, the imageCLASS LBP6780x exhibited a projected annual energy consumption rate 50 percent lower than average and the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 500i had a projected annual energy rate 61 percent lower than average. Plus, each device offers a job review mode, which allows users to review settings prior to printing or copying to reduce waste; and toner-save mode, which helps users reduce toner use.
