Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8295
Outstanding 90+ ppm A3 Monochrome MFP

Canon Wins in Mid-Range and High-End A3 Monochrome Categories

Canon continued its winning streak in the A3 monochrome sphere this year, earning Winter 2014 BLI “Pick” for its 35-ppm imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4235 and its 95-ppm imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8295. The 65-ppm Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6265 and 75-ppm imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6275 earned Summer 2013 BLI “Pick” in each of their respective speed bands.

In addition to proving highly reliable over the course of 1,025,000 impressions combined, both demonstrated outstanding productivity. In fact, the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4235 proved to be the most productive model in its category from both the PCL and Postscript drivers in BLI’s job stream test, which simulates printing in a busy office environment, while the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8295 was the most productive device in its class when printing multiple sets, and printing and copying booklets.

Canon’s highly praised control panel is another feature that makes these devices stand out from the rest. “It’s the same control panel we’ve seen on all of the latest imageRUNNER ADVANCE series, which is extremely easy to use and customisable down to the user level,” said BLI Research Editor Jessica Schiffenhaus, “allowing users to have quick access to the functions that they use the most.” Moreover, toner can be easily replaced on the fly for both models, which is a rarity for devices in the 35-ppm speed range.

Scan functionality is very robust for both models, with color preview, standard scan to PowerPoint file format and compact PDF mode, which reduced color scan file sizes to levels that were significantly smaller than that of most devices tested. The imageRUNNER ADVANCE 8295 also features support for tandem printing, which allows jobs to be divided between two devices at once, thus increasing output speed. In addition, it supports optional finishers and booklet finishers with 5,000-sheet capacities the highest capacity of competitive models.

“We are extremely honoured that the imageRUNNER ADVANCE 4235 and 8295 have earned Winter 2014 BLI ‘Pick,’ following the inclusion of imageRUNNER ADVANCE 6265 and 6275 in the Summer BLI ‘Pick,’” said Kazuhiro Ozawa, Canon Singapore’s director of the Regional Business Imaging Solutions Division. “This is a great recognition and encouragement to Canon's efforts in delivering reliable products with the aim of improving productivity at work. We will strive to outdo ourselves to present hopefully yet another award-winning line of MFPs for our customers.”
