Can I use the services offered at CANON iMAGE GATEWAY if I am not a member?
All services offered at CANON iMAGE GATEWAY are provided exclusively for members of CANON iMAGE GATEWAY. However, anyone those who are invited by members with password can upload the photos to the invited album and view photos at CANON iMAGE GATEWAY.

Can anyone register to become a member?
In order to register to use CANON iMAGE GATEWAY, you must purchase a Canon digital photo product that is compatible with CANON iMAGE GATEWAY. A list of products compatible with CANON iMAGE GATEWAY can be found here.

If I have two Canon products, can I create two accounts?
You can only register for one CANON iMAGE GATEWAY account with one product. However, you are able to register for multiple products during the registration process.

Where can I find the serial number for my Canon's product?
The serial number is usually located on the bottom of the product.

After registration, how soon can I use the site?
On completion of the membership registration, we will send the login password to the email address with which you registered. Once you receive the password, you will be able to use CANON iMAGE GATEWAY straight away.

If I forgot my password, what should I do?
There is a ‘Forgotten Password’ button after the Sign in/Change profile page. Enter the email address with which you registered to CANON iMAGE GATEWAY and you will receive an email with your new password.

After registration, I did not receive a confirmation email, why?
You might have made a mistake in the email address at the time of registration, hence we were unable to send an email to you. Therefore, please try to re-register with the correct email address and you should receive an email notification from us.



Online Photo Album

Is there restriction in the album storage space?
Each member will be granted with 10GB storage space.

How long will the images be stored?
If your library has not been accessed for 365 days since the last access date, all data inside your library will be deleted. To avoid your library being deleted, please login to CANON iMAGE GATEWAY and access one of your library. The last access date will then be updated.

Note:
-By accessing to library, the last access date is updated.
-If visitors access one of albums in your library, the last access date is also updated.

How can I tell how much storage space I have left for storing my photos?
You can find out the used storage space on your CANON iMAGE GATEWAY Top Page.

Is there a restriction of the quality of the photo or the size of photo to be uploaded into the site?
Limitation per one file: Up to 50MB for still image, up to 10minutes for movie.

Is there restriction in the Library storage space?
Each member will be granted with 10GB storage space. Also user can store images/movies up to 100 ,000 files.

How many photos can I store in my online photo albums?
You can store as many photos as you want until the total size of photos stored reaches 10GB of the storage space. You can store up to 500 images in one album. You can create as many albums as you like.

After uploading my photos, what can I do with them?
Among other things, you are able to perform the following functions:

- Tag your photos
- Create and share albums
- View them as a slideshow
- Rename and add comments to your photos

Can I add comments to the photo stored in the album?
From your online photo album, you can edit the title of a photo by clicking 'Edit images' button inside an album within 'Album view'.

Is it possible to upload RAW images?
We currently do not support RAW images, the images to be stored must be of JPEG image. Please convert your images of RAW format into JPEG format before uploading into your online account.

The upload option is not shown in the online photo album. What is the reason?
You can not upload photos as you have exceeded the storage space.

When I share photos with my friends and family, what do I actually send to them?
In order to share photos with your friends and family, you will first be required to create an album with the photos that you want to share. When you send the share invitation, a unique link will be generated which will enable your friends and family to see the photos.

I have received an invitation to a friend's online photo album on CANON iMAGE GATEWAY - how can I view the images?
To view the online photo album that your friend has sent to you, simply click on the link in the email you have received which will take you directly to the album.

When I click on the link in the invitation email, my friends album is not shown - Why can I not browse the online photo album?
The reasons you may not be able to browse your friend's online photo album are:

- Your friend has already deleted the album.
- Your friend has changed the share settings, and has not permitted album sharing.



Change Profile

How can I change my password?
You can change your password by going to 'Change Profile'. Please make sure the password is at least 6 characters long.

What sort of security measures do CANON iMAGE GATEWAY use?
Both Comodo and data encryption of SSL are being used at CANON iMAGE GATEWAY to protect the user details information. This ensures that your data will not be abused by third parties while being sent to CANON iMAGE GATEWAY. In addition, any illegitimate access to the site is monitored.

What is the privacy policy at CANON iMAGE GATEWAY?

To IE6, SP2, IE7 users and Windows Vista users

What should I do if a dialog and an information bar appears whilst installing the plug-in program on Windows7 as well as IE6 SP2, IE7?
A confirmation/warning dialog or information bar may appear when you click the Install plug-in button on Internet Explorer 6.0 SP2, 7.0. Follow the steps below to continue installing the plug-in program.
  1. Move the mouse cursor to the information bar and click it.
  2. Pop up menu appears on the information bar.
  3. Click Install Active-X or Run Active-X in the pop up menu.
