Canon today announces the launch of a series of new digital products, accessories and a new lens technology including EOS 80D, the next generation mid-range APS-C DSLR camera that unleashes the creativity of image creation with all-rounded performance in photo and video shooting; high quality EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens with the new Nano USM technology, providing a quiet and fast auto-focusing; Power Zoom Adapter PZ-E1 that enables powered zoom during video shooting; Directional Stereo Microphone DM-E1, Canon’s first external microphone for EOS series to record high quality sound; as well as 2 PowerShot Digital Compact Cameras which are PowerShot G7 X Mark II, incorporating a new DIGIC 7 digital image processor and f/1.8 large aperture lens to realize powerful low-light shooting capability; and PowerShot SX720 HS, offering up to 40x optical zoom power in a compact and lightweight body perfect for outgoing users.

• New "EOS Scene Detection System" makes use of RGB and NIR information from metering sensor for more accurate Auto Exposure, Auto Lighting optimizer and Auto White Balance

New Ultrasonic Motor Technology - Nano USM
Designed for High Speed AF and Silent Operation

• Nano USM is a new and more compact ultrasonic motor developed by Canon. The construction consists of two parts, an Elastic Metal Body and a Ceramic Voltage Element. The Ceramic Voltage Element, when applied with voltage, generates linear travelling ultrasonic waves to drive the Elastic Metal Body and the linked focus lens group directly at high speed.
• Nano USM is more suitable to drive smaller focus lens group and perfectly integrates the benefits of both Ring-type USM and Lead-screw type Stepping motors (STM). Its AF speed for still images is almost as fast as Ring-type USM while providing silent and smooth Movie Servo AF like Stepping motors (STM).
  It also supports Full-time manual focus function.
• EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM is the first lens to utilize the Nano USM technology

Power Zoom Adapter PZ-E1

• A detachable power zoom adapter that enables silent and smooth powered movie zooming when used with a compatible lens. It turns an EOS DSLR camera into a professional video-camcorder with powered zoom function.
• A Speed Level Switch and a Zoom Lever are provided for zoom speed adjustment
