Professional Sharing from Renowned International and Local Photographers to Fully Unleash the Astonishing Photo and Video Power of EOS-1D X Mark II

Three renowned international and local photographers were invited to the event, including Andy Rouse, aviation and wildlife photographer well known for his high action images with an atmospheric twist taken in extreme lands; Simon Bruty, sports photographer who traveled extensively across three continents for shooting and was involved in photography for Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup; and Canon Pro Ambassador Mo Ming, who works as Director of Photography and has produced music videos for many famous pop singers. The guest photographers gave seminars to share their tips and experiences using the new EOS-1D X Mark II and a variety of high quality EF lenses on different genres of shooting. These works showcasing the exceptional photo and video quality of EOS-1D X Mark II were also exhibited at the venue. Participants also took the chance to mingle and exchange with the guest photographers after the seminars.

Andy Rouse, multi-awarded aviation and wildlife photographer in various international photo competitions, shared how EOS-1D X Mark II’s all-round performance empowered professional photographers to conquer various types of topics with confidence. He was especially amazed by the camera’s data-rich RAW format, 4K 60p format video and the ability to create 0.25x slow motion movie with Full HD 120p “High Frame Rate” movie shooting. Andy was delighted to be photographed in front of his favorite aviation photo, and explained that a blurry background was used intentionally to emphasize the sense of speed of the aircraft.
Professional sports photographer Simon Bruty with rich experience on shooting world-scale sports events such as Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup shared insightful shooting tips on various types of sports, as well as the benefits coming from EOS-1D X Mark II’s 14FPS high speed continuous shooting, drastically enhanced number of bursts and low noise performance.
Canon Pro Ambassador and Director of Photography Mo Ming was very impressed with EOS-1D X Mark II’s outstanding video performance in high ISO shooting and the ease of post-editing work went beyond his expectation. He also mentioned the streamline of workflow and flexibility in framing made possible by the accurate Movie Servo AF using the “Dual Pixel CMOS AF” technology, touch screen LCD monitor and wireless remote video shooting.

Stunning photos and videos taken by the three professional photographers using EOS-1D X Mark II were featured in the exhibition, feasting the eyes of visitors with a rich variety of topics.

Dedicated Product Trial Zones to Experience a Lineup of New Products First-Hand

A couple of product trial zones were set up at the venue so that visitors can have hands-on experience of the products’ powerful performance and functionality. A low-light zone featuring 4 motorbikes was set up at the centre for experiencing the unrivaled image quality of EOS-1D X Mark II in high ISO shooting. Next to it was the 4K video shooting zone, where visitors could take slow motion movies of model dancing gracefully in airy outfit. Visitors also tried out the new PowerShot G7 X Mark II to capture the delicate gestures of model in vintage dress and makeup in a dim setting. In addition, EOS 80D DSLR camera, Connect Station CS100 and a range of photo printers were also on display, providing users with an all-round and one-stop imaging solution from shooting, management, review to sharing.
