Following the launch of the flagship EOS-1D X Mark II DSLR camera featuring 14FPS high speed continuous shooting and 4K 60p video shooting capability and PowerShot G7 X Mark II digital compact camera featuring a new DIGIC 7 digital image processor and large 1” type high sensitivity CMOS image sensor, “Conquer Your Limits” EOS-1D X Mark II Professional Sharing and Product Trial was successfully concluded on 23 April at Hotel ICON, Tsim Sha Tsui. A chance for an all-round understanding of the new range of products through sharing from international and local professional photographers, photo appreciation and product trial, the event was a big success with over 1,000 photo lovers attending the seminars. Visitors also feasted their eyes with beautiful exhibits, and were able to try out the new products and experience the benefits they bring to different genres of photography.
Professional Sharing from Renowned International and Local Photographers to Fully Unleash the Astonishing Photo and Video Power of EOS-1D X Mark II
Three renowned international and local photographers were invited to the event, including Andy Rouse, aviation and wildlife photographer well known for his high action images with an atmospheric twist taken in extreme lands; Simon Bruty, sports photographer who traveled extensively across three continents for shooting and was involved in photography for Olympic Games and FIFA World Cup; and Canon Pro Ambassador Mo Ming, who works as Director of Photography and has produced music videos for many famous pop singers. The guest photographers gave seminars to share their tips and experiences using the new EOS-1D X Mark II and a variety of high quality EF lenses on different genres of shooting. These works showcasing the exceptional photo and video quality of EOS-1D X Mark II were also exhibited at the venue. Participants also took the chance to mingle and exchange with the guest photographers after the seminars.
Dedicated Product Trial Zones to Experience a Lineup of New Products First-Hand
A couple of product trial zones were set up at the venue so that visitors can have hands-on experience of the products’ powerful performance and functionality. A low-light zone featuring 4 motorbikes was set up at the centre for experiencing the unrivaled image quality of EOS-1D X Mark II in high ISO shooting. Next to it was the 4K video shooting zone, where visitors could take slow motion movies of model dancing gracefully in airy outfit. Visitors also tried out the new PowerShot G7 X Mark II to capture the delicate gestures of model in vintage dress and makeup in a dim setting. In addition, EOS 80D DSLR camera, Connect Station CS100 and a range of photo printers were also on display, providing users with an all-round and one-stop imaging solution from shooting, management, review to sharing.

| The model dancing gracefully in airy outfit at the 4K video shooting zone was the perfect subject for testing EOS-1D X Mark II’s 4K 60p video capability, the creation of 0.25x slow motion movie with Full HD 120p “High Frame Rate” shooting and its “Frame Grab” function. Through demonstration printing of high quality “Frame Grab” photo from 4K footage using PIXMA PRO-1 professional photo printer, visitors were able to experience the camera’s professional and convenient video shooting performance. |
