Canon Hongkong (CHK) supported the Hong Kong Tennis Champions Cup 2011 as main sponsor on 10th – 11th December. The event was hosted by the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club for consecutively 9 years in pursuit of providing the best local tennis event for the enjoyment of the Hong Kong community.
The game has three categories: Men’s Doubles, Ladies’ Doubles Challenge and Charity Pro-Am Tournament. To increase the match attractiveness, the Club has not only invited the top Hong Kong tennis double teams, but also overseas players from Thailand, Chinese Taipei and China to join the game for the first time. Paradorn Srichaphan is one of the Thailand invited player who is most famous and has ranked highest ATP before his retirement among players.
The revenue from admission tickets, the entry fee from the Ladies’ Doubles Challenge and the proceeds from the sales of raffle tickets were all be donated to the Junior Development Fund of Hong Kong Tennis Association so that more competition opportunities could be offered for players aged 12 and under, nurturing more Hong Kong tennis stars in the future. Total raised fund was HKD$47,034. |

Taiwan's Lee Hsin-Han and Hsieh Cheng-Peng defeated China's Gao Peng and Gao Wan, 6-1, 6-4, in the Men Doubles Category. Mr. Raymond Fung, Vice President of Business Imaging Solution Group of CHK, presented the champion trophy and the winner cheque to the winning pairs together with Dr. Ryan Li, The Club Chairman during the prize presentation ceremony. |
