CHK is awarded the Green Management Silver Award under Hong Kong Green Awards 2011 organized by Green Council for its outstanding environmental performance and social caring on 16th December.
First launched by Green Council in 2010, Hong Kong Green Awards aims to encourage and recognize local corporations operating with environmental mindset in their operational and management processes. CHK, like other awardees, has to be reviewed and assessed by the judging panel comprising of representatives from the academic, certification, engineering sectors and purchasing experts. Evaluation will be conducted according to eight main criteria "Green Policy, Strategy and Leadership", "Energy Conservation", "Water Conservation and Pollution Control", "Waste Reduction" "Air Pollution Control / Indoor Air Quality Control", "Carbon Footprint Reduction", "Green Purchasing" and "Promotion, Training and Partnership".
