To realize the "Kyosei" corporate philosophy, Canon Hongkong Company Limited (CHK) supported the Community Chest Skip Lunch Day and bring hope to the underprivileged and needy. On the charity day, the public was encouraged to skip regular lunch with donations saved for the Chest.

On 22nd March, a total of 291 employees from CHK and Canon Engineering Hong Kong Company Limited took action to support the Skip Lunch Day, and successfully raised HK$17,275 for the event. To motivate community involvement, participants who donate more than HK$35 or above could enjoy food offers at the sponsoring organization with the "Skip Lunch Day Coupon".

The Community Chest was established in 1968 as one of the first charities in Asia. The Skip Lunch day was first organized in 1999 with the aim of bringing hope to the needy, all donations for this event will be allocated to support the "Services for Street Sleepers and Cage Residents" without any deduction.
